What does being a mum mean to you?
Being a mum, I feel that love in a completely different, deeper way, an overflowing, heart-brenching kind of pride that’s hard to put into words. It’s in the little moments and the big ones, in watching my child grow and knowing I’m part of shaping their world. It’s messy and overwhelming at times, but it’s also the most powerful, grounding feeling I’ve ever known. I am the proudest mum, carrying a love so big it spills into everything I do. My heart feels fuller than I ever thought possible, stretched wide by this constant, unconditional love that defines who I am now.
What is special about your mum?
My mum is the kind of woman who makes life look effortless, the one who somehow keeps everything running smoothly without ever seeming flustered. She has her shit together in a way that’s both impressive and comforting, everything is organised, thought through, and handled before anyone else even realises it needs attention. What makes her truly special, though, is how she shows up, not just for me, but for my kids, every single day. Even though she’s already done her time as a mum, she steps in without hesitation, running them to activities, being present in all the ways I wish I could be more often. Full-time work doesn’t always allow the privilege of showing up like that, even when your heart wants to, but she fills that space with so much love and consistency. She’s the steady centre of it all, and the way she gives so much of herself to our family is something I’ll never take for granted.
