Foil Embossing
Join artist Sahana Rahman for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of foil embossing, inspired by South Asian decorative traditions and craft histories.
Using accessible and sustainable materials, including recycled aluminium such as BBQ foil trays, participants will learn basic embossing techniques to create their own unique framed artwork. Through guided mark-making and embossing processes, you'll explore pattern, texture, and symbolism while drawing on personal stories, memories, and cultural influences to inform your design.
This workshop offers an opportunity to engage with Sahana's artistic practice while discovering new creative skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Suitable for beginners and those with previous creative experience, the workshop is designed for young adults and adults interested in sustainable craft, storytelling, and culturally informed art practices.
