Wesley John Fourie: Mountain Making

  • Howick Sea Scouts Hall 10 Gibraltar Street Auckland, Auckland, 2014 New Zealand (map)

Arm and finger-knitting with Wesley John Fourie.

As someone who grew up in East Auckland, Wesley frequently visited Musick Point to enjoy the view of Rangitoto which was the inspiration behind this project. This unique opportunity was a three day long, arm and finger-knitting workshop. The aim was to knit the height of Rangitoto (260m) with members of the community. What better place to hold the workshop than at the Howick Sea Scout’s Hall.

This was an Arts Out East project supported by Te Tuhi and the Howick Local Board
