An online event

In response to COVID-19 lockdowns, East Auckland ceramist Carla Ruka held an online Zoom workshop called ‘Make A Cup’. With contactless delivery of cup making kits, East Auckland residents were able to par- take in the workshop from their very own homes.

All registration spots were filled and kits made their way to homes all across East Auckland with participants ranging from 11 to 73 years of age.

The project was followed by a meet & greet where participants were asked to join Carla for a hot cuppa at Te Tuhi cafe. Carla currently has a waiting list with a high demand for a repeat zoom workshop.
